ASCO: Be Cautious With Oncology Pathways

Strict adherence to oncology pathways could potentially send clinicians in the wrong direction, a new statement from the American Society for Clinical Oncology’s (ASCO) Task Force on Clinical Pathways suggested (J Oncol Pract 2016 Jan 12. [Epub ahead of print]).

ASCO estimates that about 170 million Americans are covered by approximately 60 health plans that have active oncology pathways.
