At the FDA’s first-ever public hearing on cannabidiol (CBD) products, held on Friday, May 31, the agency heard from a packed agenda of 120 witnesses with something to say about the rapidly growing CBD industry. The market for cannabis-derived products, ranging from candy to pet food to ointments and oils to cosmetics, is predicted to reach $20 billion in sales by 2024, according to Forbes magazine.
