Study Finds Ibudilast Slows Multiple Sclerosis Progression

There is new hope in the treatment of progressive multiple sclerosis (MS). Promising results of a phase 2 trial showed that ibudilast decreased progression of brain atrophy in patients with progressive MS by 48% compared with those taking placebo (N Engl J Med 2018;379[9]:846-855).
