Taming HCV in Challenging Populations

San Diego—Virtually all patients infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV) have a high likelihood of achieving a sustained virologic response (SVR) if the right combination of antiviral agents is used, new data suggest.

In several studies presented at the 2016 Digestive Disease Week, SVR rates consistently exceeded 90% even in the most challenging populations, such as people who had already failed a regimen of direct-acting antiviral agents (DAAs) and those scheduled for liver transplant.
