Congress Considers Patch for Struggling Home Infusion Program

Congress’s recently passed spending bill does not address Medicare’s home infusion therapy services benefit (HIT). However, legislators are considering increasing the number of drugs covered under HIT—but this move may, in fact, hurt the patients it is intended to help, according to the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA).
