Overcoming Hurdles in Prescribing Oral Oncolytic Boosts Revenue and Fill Rate

An increasing volume of oral oncolytic drug (OOD) prescriptions presented a persistent challenge for The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center’s (UT SWMC’s) cancer care team, which had to contend with low drug adherence rates and difficulty coordinating care between the cancer center and specialty pharmacy. However, adopting software to track patients across the clinic and pharmacy and automating referrals have helped combat these issues while boosting
