An observational study indicates that people living with HIV who have a low level of CD4 T cells should receive a booster dose of Jynneos vaccine (smallpox/mpox vaccine, Bavarian Nordic) 28 days after the first dose to compensate for their immunosuppressed status (J Med Virol 2024;96[1]:e29317).
In addition, the study found intradermal vaccination is the best option to protect people living with HIV from contracting
