Mind–body therapies can achieve moderate improvements in pain and small reductions in opioid dose, according to a systematic review and meta-analysis.
The analysis also concluded that mind–body therapies (MBTs)—such as meditation, cognitive-behavioral therapy and hypnosis—may provide treatment benefits for opioid-related problems like opioid craving and misuse.
“To help combat the opioid crisis, guidelines have encouraged clinicians to consider
