Few questions have been answered, and many remain, as investigators continue to research the cluster of mpox cases that emerged primarily among vaccinated people in Chicago earlier this year.
As previously reported by SPC's sister publication, Infectious Disease Special Edition, the cluster resulted in 13 confirmed mpox cases reported to the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) from April 17 through May 5, 2023.
