Sometimes Even ‘Detectable’ Can Mean Untransmissible

A systematic review of eight studies in more than 7,700 serodiscordant couples in 25 countries found people living with HIV with viral loads less than 1,000 copies/mL have almost zero risk for transmitting the virus to their sexual partners, according to a recent presentation at an official satellite session ahead of IAS 2023, the 12th IAS Conference on HIV Science.
