Risk for HAIs Declining

The risk for health care–associated infections (HAIs) was 16% lower in 2015 than in 2011, according to a CDC follow-up investigation revisiting a major point prevalence survey conducted in 2011 (N Engl J Med 2018;379[18]:1732-1744).
