The FDA recently raised concerns about the use of probiotics in hospitalized preterm infants.

The agency received an adverse event report on July 31 regarding a preterm infant who was treated with the probiotic Evivo with MCT Oil (Infinant Health) as part of in-hospital care to prevent necrotizing enterocolitis.
