Leading pharmacy benefit manager Prime Therapeutics reported on Feb. 16 that overall drugs costs for its members had increased by just 2.5% from 2015 to 2016. While specialty drug expenditures grew 13.7%, these increases were offset by a 1.7% decrease in spending on traditional drugs, with total financial savings to clients exceeding $2.2 billion.
