As of Oct. 19, 2020, the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) have merged, marking the first time that two accreditation bodies with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) deeming authority have combined forces.
