Gravimetric Workflow Helps Verify Doses of Oral Controlled Substances

A gravimetric workflow used to verify doses in the preparation of oral controlled substances provided accuracy and additional safety checks when compared with the volumetric alternative, according to a new study (Am J Health Syst Pharm 2023;80[16]:1063-1070). The gravimetric workflow also offered users greater access to data, the authors, from Becton Dickinson and Company and Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita, Kan., reported.
