Cybersecurity must be a top priority for specialty pharmacies, with breaches now costing health organizations more than $10 million on average to remedy, according to a presentation at the NASP 2023 Annual Meeting & Expo, in Grapevine, Texas. Costs of a breach include fines levied against the organizations and expenses for strengthening computer systems to prevent future attacks, said Rob Else, MBA, a cybersecurity advisory consultant at Eide Bailly LLP in Omaha, Neb.
