New Religious Freedom Division Raises Discrimination Concerns

U.S. health care workers can refuse to provide health care services based on moral or religious objections, according to a new Trump administration policy. 

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) formed a new Conscience and Religious Freedom Division in the HHS Office for Civil Rights (OCR), the office that ensures patients have equal access to care, regardless of race, color, national origin, age, disability, religion or sex. 

“Laws protecting
