CDC Allocates Almost $200M More for Opioid Epidemic

The CDC is distributing nearly $200 million in additional money to fight the opioid crisis in the United States. 

The bulk of the funding—$155 million—went to states and four U.S. territories to advance the understanding of the opioid overdose epidemic and to scale up prevention and response activities, including improving the timeliness and quality of surveillance data.
