A group of 54 congressional leaders, led by the only pharmacist in Congress, Rep. Buddy Carter (R-Ga.), have sent a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), urging Acting HHS Secretary Don Wright, MD, MPH, and CMS Administrator Seema Verma to ensure rebates and discounts in Medicare Part D help contain skyrocketing out-of-pocket costs for patients.
